1 is the better mover as it drives from behinde and lifts from his shoulder also one looks more comfortable doing is job and is longer and smoother in his stride 2 looks uncomfortable has a short almost un even stride and doesnt lift with its front end.
In this pair of hunter horses I placed 2 over 1, the sorrel over the black. His trot was more ground covering, being long and low to the ground with a flatter knee. He was more level and consistent in his frame and exhibited greater manners and brokenness. The sorrel was more correctly nosed in front of the vertical, and ridden in a more trusting rein. In addition he was smoother and more prompt in his transitions. Finding no grants for 1, I left the black horse second for being overbridled and inconsistent in his headset and frame.
